R and I have been out and about this weekend and among the many places we visited were a series of antique shops and stalls in the Farnham/Alton area of Hampshire. Didn't find all that much of interest although I did pick up a handful of postcards by the German photographers Lehnert and Landrock, whose images R and I have been collecting for years. The one at the top is very typical of their desert images and I particularly liked the note written on the back (which works best if read aloud in a plummy BBC Home Service kind of voice): "Darling, Don't you think this a fine picture? There is nothing more picturesque, surely, than camels in the desert". No indeed!
