Back in May I showcased a page from an 18th century Bible that I had kept hold of because it was just too good to throw away. That page is now framed and hanging in my kitchen. This one it still part of a more-or-less disbound book at the moment and, although perhaps not as visually appealing at the first one, I think this is absolutely charming. Published in 1759, Jane Cathcart was given the book by a Mrs Erskine in 1764 and valued it so highly that she passed it on to her daughter in 1822 who wrote about how important the book was to both of them. You don't get this with a Kindle!
