Following Monday's post on Hans Tisdall dustjackets, I went to put the books concerned back on the shelf after scanning the covers and found myself slotting them in next to this one, again a Jonathan Cape publication although a little earlier, this is from 1945. I can't help wondering if this is another uncredited Hans Tisdall design.
I just wanted to mention as well, to elevate from the comments on that last post, a link to Nick Jones's post from last year on his excellent Existential Ennui.
