Regular readers may remember a little while ago, I found myself in possession of an accidental collection of books with dust jackets by Peter Rudland, an illustrator from the mid-twentieth century. I have been on the Isle of Wight today and a secondhand bookshop in Yarmouth provided yet another for the collection. I was also rather taken by the jacket design, by Judith Bledsoe on the R. S. Thomas book (below) and as he has long been one of my favourite poets - and I had been thinking of him a lot in my recent week in Wales - I bought that too...
