Crucifixions

Not so long ago at an auction R and I saw three plaster and gilt frames with a little age and a little damage. Two were the same and one, with a little more age, was a single. We both liked them and as we were able to get them for the reserve price of £10 it seemed like a pretty good deal.



We both also like modern artwork in old frames so, although I haven't yet fixed them properly in place, here are two paintings by R in the two identical frames. Both paintings are crucifixions, a theme which R seems to be painting a lot.
